Cute stories, controversial messages!

Inspired by internet shorts Charlie the Unicorn and Don't Hug Me I'm Scared, Leo Mancini's Corrupting the Youth Anthology started with a simple prompt: stories for kids, but with unconventional messages and morals. You can see our Kickstarter campaign here.

Eleven cartoonists came with their craziest ideas. The result was 52 pages of weird, weird comics. A talking sandwich learns a lesson about bullying, a weird little kid collects gum for a mysterious project, another weird little kid goes to war with the tooth fairy.

The book features works by Nancy Hollis (@nancyraygunstudio), Michael Allen (@cash_masheen), Leo Mancini (@leomakecomic), Andrew Misisco (@andrewmisisco), Charlotte Day (@noodleladybug), Luke Henderson (@lukewhendersonm), Brian Beardsley (@imagineer1), Garry Bonesteel, and Eva Tuszynski (@fauxwurmz)!

The book was named a “Project We Love” by Kickstarter and surpassed its funding goal by almost 50%!

The project was conceived in February 2022 and received over 30 applications. The best 7 stories were selected a production moved forward. A full production schedule can be seen below, along with the initial promotional poster.
